Home Carpet One takes part in the Green Initiative

The decision to buy flooring is never easy, and there are lots of factors to consider that help determine the right product for any customer.  One important issue that has been more prevalent in recent years is whether or not the product is considered “green.”  There are many manufacturers that have noticed this need for green products and now have programs designated to fulfill these wants and needs.  At Home Carpet One, we have also recognized the concern and are now carrying many products that are constructed with only natural materials. 

Our Chicago flooring showroom, displays the entire Merida Meridian product line.  As a company, Merida Meridian has made a commitment to understanding their environmental footprint and therefore all the products are made with all natural, sustainable, and renewable fibers to fulfill the eco-friendly needs of our Chicago customer.  At Home Carpet One, we also carry the naturally green carpet display from Stanton that features their all natural wool products.  

As a company, Carpet One has made efforts to build its own private branded green label, Green Select.  Green Select products are products that must currently be recyclable, contain a minimum of recycled material and/or be made from a natural, sustainable, quickly renewable resource.  To make it easier to recognize, all the green select products are labeled with a sticker in the upper right hand corner.  Our green select label stretches over all product categories including some our in stock carpet selections.  Please contact as at Home Carpet One to learn more about the green products we have to offer.
